KONX OM PAX is a hybrid of playable cards and a divination tool

“In my opinion, they are similar ideas that use different codes, consistent with their respective eras, but that seek to encourage the same journey of self-knowledge. The images reference my personal imagery canon and mix Kenneth Anger, alchemical symbols, Pieter Bruegel, occult objects, Jandek, among others. Its meanings can be inferred through the observer's gaze and, as in Tarot, its combinations have the potential to create infinite narratives and bring new perspectives and internal horizons.” - Mateus Acioli

This deck of 55 cards outlines an intimate and subjective version of the alchemical processes of matter transmutation, and draws a subtle parallel with the individuation process proposed by Jung. The title, in a loose translation, says "light passing through a single beam" and refers to the initiation ritual of the Eleusinian Mysteries, practiced in antiquity. It was also appropriated by Aleister Crowley for a book of the same name, considered essential reading for students of the occult.
